1. God First
God is above everything and we accept the Bible as His absolute authority in matters of life and faith.

2. Following Jesus
Jesus desires that we come to know him intimately and become increasingly like Him.
- Am I getting to know Jesus better and becoming more like Him?
- Romans 8:29 – “be conformed to the likeness of his Son”
3. Relational Evangelism
We are outwardly focused believing God’s message of new life is best conveyed in the context of a meaningful relationship.
- Do I have caring relationships with those who are apart from God?
- Mark 16:15 – “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation”
4. Authentic Relationships
People thrive best when relationally connected within small groups where they love and are loved, serve and are served, and are supported in the journey of spiritual formation.
- Do I share deepening relationships through participation within a small group?
- Hebrews 10:24 – “Consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
5. Compelling Environments
Strategic environments are created with excellence to intentionally engage people..
- Do I contribute to making environments that are compelling and helpful?
- I Corinthians 9:22 – “I have become all things to all people that by all means I might save some.”
6. Serving Together
We will have our greatest impact as a community when every person uses their God given abilities by teaming up with others.
- Do I serve along side others to accomplish Harbour’s mission?
- I Corinthians 12:7 – “To each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
7. Empowered Leaders
Members identify and affirm qualified leaders to be elders who empower additional leaders to lead ministry teams in a cooperative and trusting environment.
- Do I pray for, support and encourage those who lead Harbour?
- Romans 12:8 – “… if it is leadership, let him govern diligently.”
