Leadership matters.

It matters in corporations, it matters in countries, it matters in church and

it especially matters in each of our lives.

Most people I know would agree with this. But many struggle to carve out space to invest in their own leadership development. Yet, when individuals invest in themselves, everybody wins – their families, their churches and themselves.

This year, as part of our Harbour25 vision of Launch Leaders, we are starting a new group called ADVANCE. We believe there are those at Harbour who want to continue to grow, develop and learn together.

The Elders and staff have prayerfully identified individuals from across the Harbour community who we sense God working in and who we feel would be an asset for this group experience.

I’ll be joining with Cathy Gates to facilitate this time. Cathy is a gifted teacher and brings with her a wealth of real life leadership experience. I’m delighted that God has raised her up for such a time as this.

What does ADVANCE look like?

• Only five meetings between September 2011 and May 2012
• We’ll gather on 5 Tuesday Nights starting at 6 pm for dinner.
• We’ve selected three key areas to discuss – Heart (Faith), Head (Knowledge) and Hands (Competencies).

This class is our gift and investment in you as a person and leader – there are no strings attached.

I’m asking that you take a look at your next year and make the commitment to participate in ADVANCE. You won’t be disappointed.
